·       European markets opened mixed Thursday morning, as investors continued to monitor corporate earnings and political risk.

The pan-European Stoxx 600 was flat shortly after the opening bell, with most sectors and major bourses pointing in opposite directions.

 

·        Asian stocks closed narrowly mixed on Thursday as the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury stayed above 3 percent. Investors also kept an eye on the second round of U.S.-China trade talks.

·       Japan’s Nikkei share average rose on Thursday after Wall Street gained overnight, with financial stocks rallying on an increase in U.S. bond yields while tech shares attracted buyers after the yen weakened.

The Nikkei ended 0.5 percent higher at 22,838.37.

·       China stocks fell on Thursday as investors turned cautious amid trade talks between China and U.S. in Washington.

The blue-chip CSI300 index fell 0.7 percent, to 3,864.05 while the Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.5 percent to 3,154.28 points.
