- US equities closed marginally lower overnight, consolidating the first consecutive three day gain the bourse's have posted this year.

- The Dow Jones fell 40.4 points, the S&P500 eased 8.99 points whilst the tech heavy Nasdaq lost 46.53 points.

- European shares were mixed overnight . The FTSEurofirst 300 index fell 0.1%, the German Dax gained 0.9% whilst the UK FTSE fell 1.0%.

- The dollar index gained 0.129 points to 96.915. The EUR declined from highs around 1.1145 to a low of 1.1095 whilst the AUD fell to a low of 0.7130.

- US treasury yields were lower. 2 year yields fell 4 points to 0.715%, whilst 10 year yields fell 5 points to 1.765%.

- Oil prices were mixed. Brent fell 0.6% to $34.28 whilst Nymex rose 0.4% o $30.77.
