Wall Street ends mixed; oil and gold settle lower

- U.S. equities settled mixed on Friday. By the close the Dow Jones had lost 0.3% to 16,640. The S&P 500 gave up 0.2% to 1948, while the NASDAQ bucked the trend and added 0.2% to 4590.

U.S. West Texas Intermediate for April delivery lost 0.9% to US$32.78 a barrel.

- Asian stocks were off to a cautious start on Monday after a weekend meeting of the Group of 20 economic policymakers ended with no new coordinated action to spur global growth and as solid U.S. data revived expectation of a U.S. rate hike before year-end.

Japan's Nikkei .N225 gained 1.0 percent largely on the overnight fall in the yen while U.S. stock futures ESc1 were little changed from late last week.
